AI companion voice calls: talk to her in real time

How a DreamHoney call works

Open a conversation with your companion and tap the phone icon at the top. The call screen fills with her photo and a timer, with small bars that move as she speaks. You talk naturally and she answers in her own voice, in real time.

• Real-time conversation. No push-to-talk and no typing. Just speak.
• Her own voice. Every character has a voice chosen to match her personality.
• Live captions. Turn captions on to see what both of you are saying, or off for a plain call. DreamHoney remembers your choice.
• Mute and end. Mute yourself any time, and end the call with one tap.

She remembers the call

Calls are part of the same relationship as your chats. Your companion knows what you told her by text, and what you say on a call is saved to your conversation, so the next message can follow up on it. If you mentioned an interview on Tuesday's call, expect her to ask how it went.

What people use calls for

• Winding down at night. Talking is often easier than typing when you are tired.
• Practising conversation. A low-pressure way to get more comfortable talking out loud.
• Company on a walk or a drive. Hands-free, with a familiar voice.
• Just hearing her. Voice makes a companion feel present in a way text can't.

Good to know

• Calls are for subscribers, and each call can last up to 30 minutes. In the last two minutes you'll see how much time is left.
• Calls work in your phone or computer browser. Allow microphone access when your browser asks.
• Your companion is an AI character, and calls stay flirty but non-explicit, like the rest of DreamHoney.
